Well they tried…but failed!!
Sears Canada announced today that they are looking for permission to liquidate all of their stores and assets.
The company has failed to find a “viable” solution to keep the stores open.
12, 000 jobs will be affected if Sears gets approval to liquidate. And the case will be hear FRIDAY (October 13th)
If all goes to plan, the liquidation sales could begin Thursday, October 19th, and run for 10-14 weeks.
On June 22nd, Sears got credit protection, and announced the closure of 59 stores, now it’s become 74 Sears stores, 8 Sears Homes stores, and 49 Hometown Stores, Canada Wide.
