After an Emmy Award winning 42nd season, Saturday Night Live made its triumphant return last week, with host Ryan Gosling and musical guest Jay-Z.
Aaaaaand it’s not surprise that things got political immediately.
The cold open featured some of the most famed impersonations from Aidy Bryant, Alec Baldwin, Kate McKinnon, and Melissa Villaseñor, taking on Donald Trump and his actions (or lack there-of) down in Puerto Rico.
Naturally, the Weekend Update didn’t shy away from any of it, with Michael Che laying into Trump in a controlled rant.
Even Jay-Z didn’t shy away from making a political statement, going out on stage during his performance wearing a Colin Kaepernick jersey.
