If you had to drive on the westbound 174 this morning in Ottawa, chances are your drive was affected by this early morning crash.
Two cars caught fire leaving a motorcyclist critically injured. The crash happened just before 6:30 this morning and left the 174 closed a Blair Road.
As many as 10 cars were involved in the crash, including the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle is a 47 year old man who suffered from second and third degree burns, and was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The 174 at Blair remains closed as police investigate the cause of the collision.
It was a nightmare drive in Ottawa as that wasn’t the only incident this morning. Shortly after, there was another 6 vehicle pileup on the 174 at St.Laurent.
There were collisions on the 417 at Boundary, Baseline and Woodroffe, and Belfast at Trainyards. There were also heavy delays for OC Transpo, about 30 minutes or so.
The motorcyclist from the fiery crash is the only one reported injured.
