That’s right, kids… You no longer have to throw away that banana peel!
I’m sure we’ve all zested some orange peel before.
And a few years ago, I learned that you can eat the kiwi peel.
But banana peel?!
Is this a joke?
Not only are the peels edible — they’re also good for you. Banana peels are a great source of insoluble fibre, helping to support healthy bowels.

Feed your plants! Add some banana peel to a bucket of water and let the mixture sit for a few days. Then use it to water your planets. The added nutrients from the banana will keep your plants growing strong.
Make salad dressing! You can make banana vinegar from the peels and use it for salads and veggies.
For meat! In a roasting pan, place meat on top of a ripe banana peel. The peel will keep the meat moist and tender as it cooks.
