There are still a few days left of Summer, but we are already looking forward to haunting season at Saunders Farm! This year they are adding the biggest attraction in five years to the popular theme park.
Get ready for… THE COVEN!
That’s right, witches are multiplying and being added to the spell-binding mix at Saunders Farm this fall!
“The Coven” is a Salem witch-themed indoor/outdoor haunt that will be open during the daytime as a “Witches Village” where young Halloween-enthusiasts can have their picture taken with friendly witches with the haunted house in the background, but at night it will turn downright terrifying!
The Coven even features a swamp, a forest and an old witch’s house that has a maze of rooms where you are guaranteed to run in to all kinds of witches!
Saunders will keep people entertained while they wait in line for The Coven too with views of the two-story witches house and small graveyard.
The new attraction is in a forested area of the farm so there is plenty of room to hide scares, sounds, special effects and lighting!
To get to the new haunt, thrill-seekers will have to walk through a creepy swamp area before reaching the old witches house. Mark Saunders promises a spooky walk complete with fog and even disgusting smells in the swamp!
Mark Saunders says that The Coven is part of their return to Halloween classics, this one related to the famous Salem witch trials in colonial Massachusetts in the 1690s.
The Coven has been totally constructed on the site by Saunders Farm’s own carpenters and staff.
Mark even says he doesn’t like to go to the site where The Coven is by himself because it’s located in a forested area with a swamp which he describes as “creepy” in itself!
While the Coven is a major new haunt for the upcoming 2017 haunting season at Saunders Farm, there’s lots of other new attractions this year as well such as a special Canada 150 corn maze and so much more.
