Hurricane Irma is the next storm that people are keeping their eyes on. This storm was upgraded to a category 5 on Tuesday carrying winds around 300 km/h, taking aim at several Caribbean Islands and the state of Florida.
Both Puerto Rico and South Florida have declared a state of emergency. The Mayor of Key West has warned residents to head for higher ground. Stores are already running low on supplies and lineups at gas stations are several blocks long in some locations.
Global News meteorologist Anthony Farnell explains how intense this storm could be.
