HAPPY LAST LONG WEEKEND OF SUMMER!
… even if it doesn’t feel like summer anymore 🙁
If you’re going to have to get out to do any last minute shopping before back to school, make sure it’s before Monday. Virtually everything except for the Rideau Centre will be closed. Here’s what you need to know!
All shopping centres will the closed with the exception of the Rideau Centre on modified hours! They will be open from 10 am to 6 pm.
Also note that all grocery stores with the exception of the Loblaws on Rideau St and Whole Foods at Landsdowne will be closed.
The Loblaws on Rideau will be open all day, and the Whole Foods will be open from 9 am to 9 pm.
LCBO and Beer Store locations are also closed for the Holiday Monday.
OC Transpo will be running on a Sunday schedule for the Holiday Monday. Check your routes as well as some fall changes that are starting on Sunday!
Para Transpo will also run on a holiday schedule.
Service centres will be open at Lincoln Fields, Place d’Orléans and St. Laurent from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and at Rideau Centre between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Garbage pick up
No curbside garbage or recycling pick up on Monday. Regular service will resume on Tuesday, with everything pushed back by one day.
If you’re looking for something to do that isn’t going to the movies, the local museums will be open with alternate business hours.
The War Museum is open 10 am to 6 pm, the Museum of History is open from 10 am to 7 pm, The Museum of Nature is open 9 am to 6 pm, and lastly the Canadian Agriculture and Food museum is open from 9 am to 5 pm.
Whatever you’re doing have a wicked long weekend! Keep in mind there’s also a distracted driving blitz on the road so stay safe and put the phone down 🙂
