A weatherman from Halifax says after purchasing a bag of bananas at Costco, he found a SCORPION just hanging out inside the bag. He was unloading the groceries when his 11 year old daughter spotted it.
Andrew Hebda, azoologist at the Nova Scotia Museum of History accepted the little guy. He said it’s the first time he knows of where they’ve received a scorpion that came from a from a banana shipment, but other scorpions have come into the province in fruit. It may be more common than you think.
He says the scorpion could have given someone a nasty, painful sting… but nothing fatal. More details below…
