If you’re looking for something to do this coming weekend, how about checking out the world’s largest… rubber duck? Starting Thursday, ‘Mama Duck’ will be calling the Brockville Harbour home for a few days, as part of the city’s Rails To Trails Festival.
The world’s largest rubber duck is 6 stories tall, weighing close to 30,000 pounds. It cost the province 200,000 to for the duck to tour across Ontario (to many people’s displeasure), but it has been a major draw everywhere it has been, bringing in thousands of dollars to local economies.
Hotels in Brockville are all booked up for the weekend, as the city is expecting around 30,000 people to visit. When the duck made its stop in Toronto for Canada Day long weekend, it drew over 250,000 visitors. Brockville is the final stop ‘Mama Duck’s’ six city Ontario tour.
