The most instagram-able event EVER is coming to Ottawa!
Back in June, I wrote about The Lights Fest coming to Ottawa in September. Back then, there weren’t many details as to WHEN, WHERE or HOW MUCH it would cost. But now that we’re closer to September, the details have been revealed!
The festival will be taking place just outside the city at Beckwith Park,
(1319 9th Line) in Carleton Place on September 23rd!
The Lights Fest is a world wide event visiting different cities that combines music, family, friends, food, and thousands of sky lanterns. And it looks pretty damn beautiful.
You can register for regular tickets now starting at $37 according to their website. However, some comments on Facebook from those trying to buy tickets say additional fees are added. You could end up spending close to $100. So take note of the cost at the check out if you are interested.
“Your ticket includes a packet to be picked up at the event. The packet contains a lantern, marker, and key chain flashlight. Come enjoy a magical night and memories to last a lifetime.
Any child under three years old is free to the event. Children ages 4 – 12 need to purchase our kids ticket for just eight dollars. They will receive a fun little swag bag and no lantern. 13 years and older will be charged an adult ticket.”
Plus, this event is totally Eco-friendly, and the launch of the lanterns is dependent on word from local fire authorities. They also have a team of volunteers who work on picking up the lanterns after they’ve landed.
