Many have spoken out about the violence that surrounded Bluesfest on the night of July 13th, after acts Migos and Lil’ Yachty drew throngs of teenagers and young adults to Lebreton Flats.
The Ottawa Citizen is now reporting that a young man even had his jaw broken on a bus after the show, in one of the more violent incidents connected to the evening.
Adam Farsijani was reportedly on the 95 heading to Barrhaven around 11:30pm when he was attacked by two men, one of whom was an old acquaintance. In a video provided to the family and published on the Citizen’s website, you can clearly see two men beating Farsijani while onlookers on the rowdy bus appear shocked.
Farsijani and his mother, Renata, are taking the most issue with the way the situation was handled by witnesses, OC Transpo, and the Ottawa Police. As quoted in the article;
“You have time to take video but you don’t have time to react? He could have been killed.”
Ottawa Police continue to investigate.
Security had their hands full on the night of the show, with several parts of the perimeter being breached by fans.
