What sounds like a dream for cat lovers is turning into a NIGHTMARE for Cornwall residents.
They have become overrun with cats.
According to this CBC article, 73 cats were removed from the Bergin Avenue neighbourhood, with more expected to be picked up in the coming days. They quoted residents as saying that new litters were being born every day, and that the “street is consistently riddled with cat feces, urine…and that there are numerous cat fights.”
The SPCA has cleared space in the the surrounding areas for the incoming felines, but they will undoubtedly need help in the weeks to come. To donate, you can visit their website here!
They even have a handy quiz to take if you’re wishing to adopt a cat, to determine which kitty would suit your home and needs the best.
