It looks like the LCBO WILL be open for the Canada Day long weekend!
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) has come to a tentative deal with the LCBO.
The agreement was signed shortly after the strike deadline at 12:01 am this morning. Union members will get a chance to look over the accord over the next few days, at which point the details will be released to the public.
According to the Canadian Press, a ratification vote has not yet been scheduled, but Union President Warren “Smokey” Thomas says the union’s bargaining team is “unanimously recommending members accept the deal.”
