If you’re a horror fan, this is the best news you’re going to hear today: “It” is going to be RATED R! That’s right, no watered-down, PG-13 garbage . . . this is legit horror, baby! And Stephen King deserves no less.
Although it’s interesting to note that the first adaptation of It was an ABC miniseries (and it was fantastic), but it was still more intense and terrifying than most of the PG-13 “horror” movies you’ll find in theaters these days.
Anyway, the MPAA slapped the new movie with an “R” for, quote, “violence / horror, bloody images, and language.” So it’s got that going for it.
