We’re lucky we’re so close to Quebec in Ottawa! East of us… not so much.
On Monday, staff at LCBO got one step closer to a strike as the union representing over 7000 workers applied for a ‘no board’ report from the Ministry of Labour.
Since the union voted in favour of a strike a few weeks ago, if no agreement is reached, the strike or lockout could start as soon as 17 days after the report was filed. That takes us to a possible strike date of June 22nd, just in time for Canada Day long weekend.
