New research says that your fitness tracker isn’t doing it’s job and it could be taking you back a few steps in your quest to a healthier you.
Researchers discovered that most fitness trackers aren’t accurate which can cause you to make some bad dietary decisions.
The least accurate was the PulseOn which was off by an average of 93 percent.
On the other hand, the most accurate fitness tracker was the Fitbit Surge – it was only off by about 23 percent.
Here’s the problem, at the end of the day, your device may say that you have burned 1000 calories, when in reality you only burned 730.
You may think it’s okay to have that extra dessert, glass of wine or all the above, when in reality you didn’t burn as much as you thought that day.
