By now, without a doubt, you have seen at least a clip of “Get Out.”
The movie is about a young, black man who goes to meet his girlfriend’s white family, in their Stepford Wives-esque community. Very quickly, he gets the feeling (and some fairly obvious clues) that something is wrong, and he is in danger, despite his girlfriend’s insistence that everything is fine.
The racially charged, psychological thriller has been creating quite a buzz, getting numerous rave reviews and critical acclaim, even achieving the coveted 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
And we all know how difficult it is to please the internet, but response on Twitter has even been overwhelmingly positive!
Watched "Get Out" last night worth 12 to 15 dollars. Inspired me to watch original "Night of the living dead" this weekend— Ivan Harris (@etaloot) February 24, 2017
