Family Day 2017 falls on Monday, February 20th. Many of us are VERY excited to have to have the day off work (except the Government workers AKA most of Ottawa).
We better make the most of it, as it’s our only long weekend until Easter!
It’s the kind of holiday you feel guilty having off if you’re not spending it with your family.
Ok, maybe not that guilty.
In case you DO plan on leaving your bed that day, we thought we’d help you out with what’s open/closed on Monday.
There’s lots to do outside!
The Rideau Centre will be open from 10 AM – 6PM!
Bayshore Mall will be CLOSED Monday.
St. Laurent will be closed.
Garbage & Recycling
There will be no garbage or recycling pickup on Family Day. Family Day’s pickup will occur on Tuesday, February 22nd!
Quite a few recreational centers, swimming areas, and skating locations will be open to accomodate Family Day activities. See if your local community center is open here.
Sen’s Rink of Dreams will be OPEN on Family day (although City Hall is closed). Mayor Jim Watson will be hosting the annual Family Day Skate from 11 AM – 2 PM. The rink’s hours will be 6 AM – 11 PM.
Here’s Ottawa’s Weekend Weather Forecast
Have a safe & fun Family Day Ottawa!
