We’ve all been there. We have spent several minute crafting the perfect tweet…witty, charming, intelligent, and all in under 140 characters.
We hit “Tweet”, but then to our horror, we realize there WAS A TYPO. Now, we have to delete it and start aaaaaaall over again.
Well, Twitter is considering the idea of changing this in the coming future. CEO Jack Dorsey held an open forum on his social platform asking users what they want to see in the new year.
And there was one OVERWHELMINGLY common response:
Not everyone is on board, though. Some think editing could lead to people changing their tweets in a negative way, and those who have retweeted will end up with a view they don’t necessarily agree with on their page.

It seems as though it could be a ways off, as there is a lot to think about before implementing the change. But Dorsey confidently reassured users that he has heard them, and they are considering the option!
