Ok, most Canadians can agree that the most Canadian thing to ever happen would be…a guy riding a zamboni through a Tim Horton’s drive-thru. But that would never actually happen, right?
WRONG! It did happen, and it is amazing.
According to this Global News article, Jesse Myshak is the manager of a crane business in Stony Plain, Alberta. He bought the zamboni fairly recently to use on his backyard rink (I need to see this rink), and figured it was easiest to drive it home from the shop where he was touching it up.
“I figured it would be cost-effective and easier to drive it home so I told the boys at the shop I was taking off and going to run the Zamboni to the house and they all kind of made jokes that I should stop by Tim Hortons and grab a coffee… and take it through the drive-thru”
And it didn’t end there, once he got to the window he found out that the person in front of him had paid for his order, making the most Canadian thing ever EVEN MORE CANADIAN.
“I ordered a large hot chocolate and came through the drive-thru – there was about three people sticking their heads out the window, all smiling and telling me this is the best thing they’ve ever seen and no worries about the order (because) the lady in front of me actually picked up my order”
