What great timing for another email scam. If you often use email transfers, here’s a heads up. Interac Canada is reporting that there have been many Interac e-transfer scam emails reported to them by customers.
These scam emails will say you have an e-transfer, and to open the email’s attachments.
Interac wants to remind you that it does not add attachments to e-Transfer notification emails. Don’t respond to or open any attachments from suspicious emails.
If the notification comes from someone you don’t know, or if it seems suspicious, forward the email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
