Do you ever look back at your favourite childhood TV shows and wonder what happened to the actors?
Well, many 90s kids wondered about a couple of specific people – like Steve, from “Blue’s Clues”
And we now, FINALLY, have closure after more than 10 years.
Steve Burns (who, of course, played “Steve” in the classic kids’ show) sat down with the Huffington Post and gave an amazing interview about why he left the show, and what he’s been up to since.
“I left the show because it was just simply time to go. I was pretty much playing a boyish, older-brotherish kind of character on the show. I was getting older; I was losing my hair; a lot of the original gangsters on the show, like the people who created it, were all moving on to other careers. It just felt like time. I just had a gut feeling like it was time to go.”
So now we know why he left. In the rest of the interview, he goes on to talk about how it felt to work on the show, the highs and the lows of being a superstar (to toddlers, at least), and his opinions on the wardrobe choices in the show;
And what has he been up to since, you may wonder? Well, not only does he do voice over work, he also has started a musical career! He has a new children’s album coming out soon, with songs featuring Steve Drozd of the Flaming Lips – and it is exactly as weird as you would think.
