Justin Bieber won FOUR American Music Awards last night, including Favorite Pop / Rock Male Artist and Video of the Year. That gives him a total of 12, which puts him in the Top 10 of “AMA“ winners. He’s tied with Willie Nelson for 7th place of all-time!
Justin wasn’t there, but he did “Let Me Love You”, via satellite from a show in Zurich, Switzerland:
But Justin was upstaged by his ex, SELENA GOMEZ, who delivered a really passionate and emotional speech after winning Favorite Female Artist.
She talked about how she needed to take a break because she was “absolutely broken inside,” and thanked her fans, saying, “You guys are so damn loyal, and I don’t know what I did to deserve you. But if you are broken, you do not have to stay broken. That’s one thing you should know about me: I care about people. And this is for you.”
There were a few political moments, not surprisingly. Like Green Day singing, “No KKK, No Fascist USA, No Trump!” Then there was co-host Gigi Hadid’s Melania Trump impression:
Some old folks got their due last night. Prince won Top Soundtrack, and his sister Tyka accepted the award!
