Say it ain’t so!
It looks like NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has lost faith in Ottawa for hosting an outdoor game next year.
Bettman told NHL.com that he hopes to find another city to celebrate what the league calls Founders Day. That’s will be on Nov. 26, 2017, the 100th anniversary of the day the league formed. However, he has also been quoted saying “We haven’t made any decisions.”
Also on the positive side, meetings between Mayor Jim Watson and Sens owner Eugene Melnyk seem to be going well after the idea of a game of Parliament Hill fell flat.
