“Saunders Farm and the Saunders Family actively promotes and celebrates acceptance amongst our staff, guests, and in our community.” – Saunders Farm
This is absolutely disgusting! On Halloween; one of the most exciting holidays of all, one bonehead tried to ruin it for some.
Last Saturday one ignorant customer wore an offensive and threatening shirt to Fright Fest Canada:
Why someone would want to spread hate and threats at a fun, family-friendly farm is disturbing. They did find the guy, his name is Julien Clément and in a vile statement, he said he stands by his shirt:
“I hate gays for real,” Clément says in French. “I hate gays.”
The 18-year-old belongs to a group called ‘ATG’, which stands for anti-gay. He and his friend Yan Miller have been part of the group for years, and they’re not afraid to express how they feel.
“I don’t like gay people,” says Miller. “I’m not homophobic, I’m not scared of them.” It is unclear if Julien will be charged with anything since hate-speech is not necessarily illegal, but threats are, and his ugly shirt is more than suggestive!

The best part though? Look at the pic again, Julien isn’t even bright enough to spell the word APPROACH correctly on his sketchy shirt!!
What a strange and distasteful cry for attention… Live and let live!
Even though they didn’t have to, Saunders Farm released a heart-felt statement, expressing their respect and support for the GLBTQ community:
The guys at Saunders Farm sure are class acts! Hopefully no bigots show up next year but even if they do, they’ll know how to scare them away. 😉
