This is unacceptable.
Ottawa police have just revealed that distracting driving fines in Ottawa for 2016 have reached over the 1 MILLION DOLLAR mark. REALLY?
“We’re at a loss as to what else we can do, except the enforcement that we’ve been doing,” said Sgt. Mark Gatien.
Despite the PSA’s the warnings, the risk of fine and demerit points, people are still doing it.
The current fines are $490, if settled out of court and up to $1,000 if a summons is received or if you fight the ticket in court and lose. Don’t forget the 3 demerit points too.
