The city of Fort McMurray, Alberta and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo posted a video thanking Canadians for their support during and after the devastating wildfires back in May.
Over 80,000 people were forced out of the Fort McMurray area for a month due to the fires, which destroyed 10 percent of the city’s buildings.
About 299 million dollars had been raised for the Fort McMurray recovery effort, with 165 million of it donated to the Canadian Red Cross.
The city of Fort McMurray encourages Canadians to share the video, so the message of thanks can be seen by as many people as possible.
