SLEEP IT OFF! I know this seems like an obvious remedy to a hangover, but it’s also been scientifically proven to help. According to fitnessmagazine.com: “alcohol is metabolized at the rate of .015 of blood alcohol concentration (BAC), or roughly one drink every hour, meaning those extra brews can quickly add up. And just like a broken heart, time can heal all and sleeping through your body metabolizing last night’s happy hour will make you feel better. Just make sure to keep hydrated once your peepers finally open.”
POP AN ASPIRIN, ADVIL or TYLENOL – this will help with the hangover, just don’t do it too often. These medications are really hard on your liver, and lets be honest, you already put that organ to work when you went for drinks last night.
SLAM BACK SOME ELECTROLYTES – they aren’t just good for sports! You can also go the natural route, and slam back some coconut water which doesn’t contain as much sugar.
HYDRATE! – you can drink all the sports drinks you want, but you need to hydrate after a night of partying. Before passing out in your comfy bed, you should drink 16-20 ounces of water.
TOAST OR CRACKERS – just like your mother told you when you are a little, after the flu, this actually helps, especially if you are nauseous, because carbs can help bring your blood sugar levels back up.
SEX – there’s no scientific evidence to back this up but if it makes you happy, chances are you will forget about that hangover all together 😉
