As the weather gets warmer, drivers need to become more aware of wildlife making their way onto the roadways.
One community in Northern Iowa is making sure that drivers are aware of the deer that frequent the area. Commuters will likely do a double take a the newly mounted ‘SUICIDAL DEER’ crossing signs that are located throughout in Mitchell County.
Some of the area residents don’t think it’s a big deal, while others say that the signs go to far. One resident said the signs make suicide, “look like a joke.”
The board that supervises the county approved the signs, so that drivers would pay extra attention on the roadways and there was no intention to offend anyone or cause any controversy.
